Research
I use qualitative inquiry and sociological theory to explore public mental health and suicide prevention.
With interdisciplinary training in the social sciences and lived experience supporting a loved one through a suicidal period,
I am an advocate for the mental health of close contacts to those experiencing mental health crises.
My teaching style is personable, flexible, and collaborative. I employ a flipped classroom blended learning model for content delivery. I encourage student-to-student engagement and workshopping of concepts I aim to empower students, clients, and colleagues with a resource toolkit for systems-level thinking and creative problem-solving for working in interdisciplinary teams.
