  • Jan. 2020-Present: Teaching Assistant, Problem Solving in Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (Baltimore, MD) 

    • Train students in Nominal Group Technique; facilitate development in leadership positions such as Moderator/Notetaker/Timekeeper; practice skills in brainstorming/round robin/discussion/decision-making

    • Facilitate small group discussions and encourage student development for skills including problem-solving, critical thinking, efficiency, reaching consensus, compromising, prioritizing, and developing criteria

    • Build relationships with small groups of 8-10 students for collaborative project design and development

    • Grade final reports and individual assignments for small groups of 8-10 students


  • Aug. 2019-Present: Research Program Manager, Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis, Department of Epidemiology, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (Baltimore, MD) 

    • Support a diverse team of 20+ researchers and faculty in ongoing projects involving clinical trials

    • Provide administrative and programmatic support for students, staff, and faculty, including managing monthly events through the Seminar Speaker Series

    • Manage travel, events, and scheduling for Principal Investigator and colleagues, including reserving travel and lodging arrangements, coordinating conferences and public meeting spaces

    • Arrange grant-related meetings and conference calls, including large-group meetings or symposia, for the Coordinating Center and the Principal Investigator

    • Liaise with interdisciplinary and cross-departmental staff and faculty for joint activities for the Center

    • Conduct literature searches and assist with draft editing


  • Jan. 2017-Jul. 2019: Recruitment Coordinator, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (Baltimore, MD)

    • Collaborated with students, parents, school personnel, and community organizations to identify, recruit, and support academically talented students who are a good fit for CTY programs and services

    • Facilitated and traveled to at least three monthly events, including school visits, presentations, or conferences: schedule planning meetings, count and verify the inventory of supplies, arrange all details regarding event logistics

    • Managed a geographically-clustered caseload of 120+ school partners

    • Investigated and resolved challenges for parents, students, and school administrators independently or with internal and external collaborators

    • Created the project plan for use with school partners: designed a formulaic excel document, outlined important dates and milestones for school personnel, included a graphic depiction of the timeline for enrollment, taught five colleagues about best practices for how to navigate the document, pre-wrote the agenda for the departmental teaching session, followed up with colleagues by providing meeting minutes and step-by-step instructions

    • Designed and implemented an internal training module on above-grade-level testing along with a colleague: learned about  the theories and intricacies around above-grade-level testing, presented this information to colleagues, developed quick reference tools


  • May 2015-Jan. 2017: Research and Development Analyst/Job Developer, MPLOY Youth Summer Experience, City of Memphis Office of Youth Services (Memphis, TN)​

    • Implemented an electronic system for data management on student applicants

    • Developed and evaluated program policies for external partnerships and the internal handbook

    • Wrote content for marketing materials, such as webpages, flyers, and social media pages

    • Sought external means for financial and programmatic growth from community partners

    • Supervised a team of five Youth Specialists in monitoring student timesheets and payroll

    • Planned job readiness training and orientations for 1,000 students as well as their parents

    • Oversaw a meaningful work experience for 250 students placed at 23 Business Partners
